The Winterset Public Library will welcome historian and broadcaster Jeff Stein on June 23, 2026 at 5 p.m. for a nostalgic look back at The Floppy Show, the beloved Iowa children’s television program that ran from 1957 to 1987. With stories, photos, and memorable moments from his book The Floppy Show, Stein explores the humor, charm, and cultural impact of ventriloquist Duane Ellett and his famous sidekick. This fun, family-friendly program celebrates a cherished chapter of Iowa’s television history.
